UESF classified, certificated biweekly, and SEIU can expect to see their salary increase in the March 20th paychecks.
UESF certificated monthly can expect to see their salary increase on the March 29th paycheck. |

The current pay increases will only include your current active assignments as of 2/27/24. If you worked in another assignment that is no longer active, you will receive a “lump sum adjustment” for wages earned in that assignment in May (TBD). |

For Classified Employees, how was the Salary increase calculated? |
Per contract agreements with both SEIU and UESF, the following process was used to calculate wages.

Day-to-day subs in the following salary schedules will receive pay at the updated rates in March with retro adjustments for earnings from 7/1/2023 to present paid in April. Updated Salary Schedules: HC, HX, JZ, KZ, QX. |

Employees who are no longer with SFUSD, but who were actively working in eligible assignments during the retroactive pay periods, are expected to receive their retroactive pay by June 30, 2024. Paper checks will be issued and mailed to the address currently on file. | |

The budget team will be provided the updated salaries and they will apply the .2 rate to those salaries. We will have to manually calculate the difference for 1.2 employees. | |

DNP will be recalculated to take your new salary into consideration. DNP will automatically be calculated on the retro earnings calculated from this salary increase. | |

Ratified contracts will be posted to the SFUSD Labor Relations webpage after final proofing is completed by SFUSD and our labor partners. | |

CSESAP will not be impacted this year. Eligibility and deductions are based on salary at time of enrollment. | |

The extended leave pay calculation will be included in the pay raise. Extended leave for the time to be paid retroactively will be included in April with the retroactive pay. Please note that the extended sick leave sub dock is based on the sub rate of pay. Given the sub rate has increased, the sub dock differential will also increase. It is not yet known if your paycheck will include a retroactive increased sub dock. |

Your STRS or SFERS contributions are percentage based. As your salary increases, the contribution amount will also increase. Employee’s may see a higher contribution amount in this upcoming paycheck because the retro-payments are higher. | |

In order to allow adequate time for processing all increases (including retro), Payroll asks that all appointments, questions, and concerns about the upcoming salary increases wait until after May 31st. 2024 . Payroll will provide times to meet After May 31st. These appointments can be used to review paychecks, retro calculations or other pay-related questions. |
