Extended hours refers to compensation for extra hours worked. Extended hours, just like overtime, needs pre-approval from the employee’s supervisor before it is entered in the timesheet.
There are three different entry and payment methods for additional time and stipends. The method depends on where the funding is coming from. Please double-check that you are following the correct method before proceeding:
- Funded by Prop G/J FWEA (Fair Wair Wage for Educators Act): 18 Hours of Professional Development
- Employees should follow the Time Off Request (TOR) process described in the Time Entry for Professional Development Hours section
- Employees should follow the Time Off Request (TOR) process described in the Time Entry for Professional Development Hours section
- Funded by Your Supervisor: Extended Calendar (Extended Hours, Extended Days, Extra Hours, Overtime) and Stipends paid by a SACS Code in your Supervisor’s budget
- Employees should follow the time entry process in the sections directly below
- For Stipends, no entry by you as the employee is needed. Your Supervisor will enter the stipend and then you’ll see it on your timesheet.
- Funded by Someone Other Than Your Supervisor (e.g., a Central Office Department): Extended Calendar (Extended Hours, Extended Days, Extra Hours, Overtime) and Stipends paid by a SACS Code outside of your Supervisor’s budget
- For all Extended Calendar and Stipends, no entry by you as the employee is needed (the person or Department funding this will follow a mass upload process). Once uploaded, you’ll see the time or stipend on your timesheet. View the full process in the Ext. Cal for Non-Supervisors section.
