New SFUSD employees get enrolled in CalSTRS as part of their onboarding. Current SFUSD employees enrolled in CalSTRS should be able to view their information in their Employee File.
- In your Employee File, click on the Benefits Overview tab.
- Use the dropdown and click on CalSTRS.
- You should see something similar to this:
- Your STRS Information includes the following:
- STRS ID - the number provided to you by CalSTRS upon membership
- Reap Status - your current status with CalSTRS
- Retirement Formula - your retirement membership status

SFUSD is a reporting entity for your CalSTRS retirement benefit. Your earnings and years of service are reported monthly to CalSTRS, and employee deductions and employer share of deductions are transmitted to CalSTRS on your behalf.
